Avocat au Barreau de Paris, Docteur en Droit, graduate of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris, Christine Vilmart pursued her professional career as in-house lawyer in a large corporation and officer of a professional association of the fashion industry before joining private practice.
Her expertise lies in the field of French and European legal issues, competition compliance audits, procedures in the field of international intellectual property, distribution law, advertising and consumer law.
Christine Vilmart is an expert before the Commission of the European Communities and has participated in the drafting of legislative documents in the field of intellectual property and of European rulings for the prohibition of counterfeiting.
She is a member of the Executive Committee of the French Association of Competition Studies (AFEC), of the Association of Practitioners in Trademark and Industrial Design Law (APRAM), of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA), of the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the ICC Commissions on Competition and Intellectual Property.
Christine Vilmart is a regular speaker at major scientific gatherings relating to competition and intellectual property law and is the author of a large number of scientific books and publications.
